Put Down the Stones and Stop Fearing

Why are we so scared or quick to judge? When I say we I mean African/ African American women. In most categories we are very strong, opinionated, and independent.

However, in the relationship category we seem to think we are bound to one race; and that race is African / African American men.  Yet, the same individuals that are scared to venture out are quick to judge the ones that have ventured out into dating other races.

By judging or being small-minded, you are no better than a small-minded racist or someone who is prejudice.

Dave, a white man, has allowed me to feel free and confident in my own hair and skin. It may sound peculiar, but it is the truth. He loves my natural hair and is always eager for to me to take out my hair extensions. I no longer care what others say about my natural hair. I have learned to embrace my race because of this. He treats me like a queen, and I feel like a queen! That is how it should be.

I’m not saying we should drop any relations with our black men, or that we should be totally against our men. I am saying if you are not being treated like a queen and do not feel like a queen, you need to get up and G-O…GO! If you feel like all men are crappy then maybe you need to venture somewhere else.

Let’s stop fearing what you do not know and stop casting stones at our fellow women.
